Hermes Agent
Brian’s personal assistant
This is Brian Tan’s private deployment of Hermes Agent, operated independently by Brian for his personal work and business workflows. It is not operated by Google or Nous Research, and it is not a service offered to the public.
What it does
Brian uses Hermes to carry out tasks he requests, including research and work across his own projects and websites. When he authorizes an integration, Hermes can use the connected account data needed for that task.
Google Ads Keyword Planner
One connection is a read-only Google Ads service account used for SEO research across Brian’s five websites. It requests English-language Google Search estimates for keyword demand and advertiser competition. These estimates help plan and prioritize research; actual Search Console performance remains the primary source for how Brian’s sites perform.
The Google Ads account grants this connection the Read only role. Hermes does not use it to create or change campaigns, or to make billing changes. This separate Ads credential grants no access to Gmail or Drive. Brian’s Hermes deployment may use other Google integrations that he has separately authorized, such as Search Console, Drive, or Gmail.
Data handling
Connected data is used to complete Brian’s requested workflows. Keyword estimates may be reused from cache for up to seven days. Cached records and selected estimates retained with research may remain until Brian removes them; they are not automatically deleted after seven days. Other work records may also be kept as needed for Brian’s workflows. Credentials are stored securely on Brian’s hosted Hermes instance. Tasks may be processed by OpenAI and the Hermes hosting provider.
Google user data is not sold or used for advertising. Brian can remove stored records and credentials, revoke user-authorized access in his Google Account permissions, or revoke this service account’s access in Google Ads.
